Okay, you've got to help me! There is something wrong with her head, it seems to 'pop' out of the picture rather than fitting in. I cannot figure out what to do. I tried adding some extra shading to make it closer to everything else in the scene, but that just made her look gaunt and didn't solve the problem....any advice?

The background behind the head is a flat black, whereas the rest of her body sits infront of shades of gray and other, slightly brighter, colours. I think thats why it pops out.

Thanks for the advice, I think you have hit the nail exactly on the head! I've just got to figure out if there is a way to easily change it...
