The Scribe: Dark Heresy by thefuguestate The Scribe: Dark Heresy by thefuguestate
Odessa Venra, my wife's character from our games of Dark Heresy RPG. An adept hired by the Inquisitor for her great knowledge of ancient and dead languages. See the rest of the party here

Okay, you've got to help me! There is something wrong with her head, it seems to 'pop' out of the picture rather than fitting in. I cannot figure out what to do. I tried adding some extra shading to make it closer to everything else in the scene, but that just made her look gaunt and didn't solve the problem....any advice?

The background behind the head is a flat black, whereas the rest of her body sits infront of shades of gray and other, slightly brighter, colours. I think thats why it pops out.

Possibly the head you've replaced mine with is too saturated...? Might be worth lowering the saturation to see if it blends better. Glad my stock came in useful :)

NP :) Perhaps also try drawing in a few natural strands of loose hair, the line between the face/hair is very sharp, and might just need a bit of softening.

Thank you. It turned out like a game of "find the stock," trying to remember where all the images went and came from
