I'm sorry, but the tech-priest isn't tech-priestish at all. Looks like just a regular guy with a gas mask and robotic arms coming out of the middle of his back.
Fair point, but what you suggest I changed? I was thinking of some gear trimmings round the edge of the robes and big pipes coming out of the gas mask. Anything else you can think of?
The pipes coming out of the mask is a good point. However I would suggest a more like a pose change. He should be a bit hunchbacked of the heavy machinery implanted on his body and the heavy mechadendrites which he has to bear. He also has other implants on his body, so the robes shouldn't fit so well, there should be also cables and such coming and going under his clothes. Check pictures of some tech-priest and a bit analyze them, that would help I suppose
Good point about the way the robes fit. Looking at a few pictures they do seem to be very bulky. The problem is trying to replicate that whilst wearing a bath robe backwards! But thanks for the advice, it's given me some things to think about when I make some alterations
I took on board some of your suggestions when I was re-doing the picture, although in the end it was just too much effort to re shoot it. Check it out [link]
Thanks for taking the time to comment on my picture
Actually it's suppose to be a desert-born Assassin with a hunting rifle (I hadn't thought of which desert planet, but Tallarn sounds like a good choice), a mechanicus engineer and an Adeptus Scribe...I'm not sure how good the scribe is going to be in a fight, but that's what what my girlfriend insisted on playing as. She also picked out the costume which is why it is a bit like a world of warcraft cleric!
